Bernard Lindemuth was born in Union Township, Schuylkill County, PA, 26 September 1833. He came to Hazen, Warsaw Township, and was a farmer there for the remainder of his life. On
Monday morning, the 8th of August, 1898, he was driving his team and attempted to make a short turn. In doing so, he upset his wagon, throwing him under it, which frightened his horses
. The horses bolted, dragging him on the ground for a long distance before they were stopped. Bernard, better known as "Barney", was severely injured and died on Friday, the 12th.
He was buried in the old Ferris Cemetery in Warsaw Township, beside his wife Susan.
Susan was born in 1820, and died of burns in 1894.
